About The Edward O. Lund Foundation
Who We Are
The Edward O. Lund Foundation was created to honor the work and life of Edward Lund. Edward was a quiet force of nature that created an interactive, supportive community around his shared passions of art and cycling. We are dedicated to supporting his legacy by providing art scholarships, grants, and awards, as well as, organizing community events that celebrate the life that Ed lived.

Living to the Point of Tears
Ed enthusiastically shared his love and passion for art and its far-reaching possibilities with his students, colleagues, and community. We want to continue to share that love and passion in his name. He was also a beloved and well-respected cyclist in the region; affectionately known as “The Hammer” because of his enthusiasm, skill, finesse, focus, and driving force while he rode.
In the spirit of Ed, the Foundation attempts to operate by Ed’s motto: Live to the Point of Tears. With that in mind, the Foundation fully funds scholarships for Study Abroad Programs for qualifying Fresno State art, design, and art history students each year. We also organize events in Edward’s name that embrace and promote the idea of living our lives to the fullest. In our hearts we know that Ed’s spirit is smiling upon us.
